Section sewn hardcover is particularly used where it is required to open the publication flat. The sections are joined with durable hemp threads and then glued with the PUR technique, which ensures that not only the quality of the binding but also its durability is maintained.
For the cover, bookbinding cardboard with a thickness of 2 to 3 mm is used, which has material, paper, leather finishes stuck on the outside.
While the cover from the inside is glued so-called "endpaper" which of course can be printed.
Inside parts of books with this binding are made on a Horizon BQ470 PUR perfect binder r and other bookbinding devices (e.g. Freccia with Hedap feeder), and covers on a KOLBUS machine.
